Lectures

Diane lectures to various dental study clubs, dental hygiene and periodontal societies and dental hygiene programs on reinforced periodontal instrumentation and ergonomics. Coupled with her lectures, she provides hands-on clinical seminars that instruct participants on how to utilize protective instrumentation strategies that help prevent musculoskeletal injuries.

Reinforced techniques allow for more power, strength and control while scaling. No longer is scaling exclusively about calculus removal. It is about calculus removal and protecting oneself from injury. The sooner the dental care provider learns that alternative scaling techniques will prevent musculoskeletal injuries, their scaling proficiency will grow and fatigue in the hands and arms will be reduced, as will injuries caused by fatigue.

The protective reinforced scaling techniques taught in Diane’s lecture and hands-on seminar will enhance career longevity by preventing injury and improve instrumentation efficacy.
